What would you take on a trip around the world?

Our family is constructing a universe. Our universe, however, does not have infinite space nor is it capable of carrying unlimited mass. Therefore, selection of what goes aboard is critical. We are applying, as much as practical, our standard approach to traveling: if we cannot carry it on our backs, we won稚 take it. That is, minimalism is the key. We will collect what we need as we go. That said, this will be our home so a few additional items will be taken. We do expect this list to grow, but hopefully not by much!

Books

We will be taking books on science, mathematics, art, literature, history, geography, and psychology. Some books by title that we will be bringing include: The Art of War, 48 Laws of Power, The Prince, How to Win Friends and Influence People, Merriam Webster Dictionary, Man and His Symbols, Fountain Head, Don Quixote, The Republic, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Alice痴 Adventures in Wonderland, Complete Short Stories of Edgar Allen Poe, Heart of Darkness, Ender痴 Game, Madness and Civilization, Beyond Good and Evil, The Human Zoo, Memoirs of a Sword Swallower, Paradise Lost, Divine Comedy, Freak Show, and more to be added. We can easily imagine this becoming a problem ... too many books on board!

Celestial Maps

These will serve as astronomy teaching tools and help us learn about night navigation.

Musical Instruments

We will be taking four musical instruments with us: African Thumb Piano, Lyre, Pungi, and Goblet Drum. These will serve as learning opportunities and self created entertainment.

Games

We will be taking four games: two decks of cards, Chess, The Whole Brain Game, and Monopoly. These will serve as learning opportunities and self created entertainment.

Weapons

We will be taking four warrior tools: Crossbow, Xiphos, fighting fan, and Escrima stick. These will serve as physical training tools (strength, balance, and form), entertainment devices, and self preservation aids.

Computers

Minimally, 2 laptops will accompany us on the journey.

Exercise Equipment

Kettle bells and a stationary bike that functions as an electric generator.
